Glee.
I wish that Rachel and April would have duet-ed together, because Lea Michele looks so much like a young Idina Menzel that it would have totally satisfied my wish to see the original Broadway production of Wicked. Also, Rachel and Finn give me butterflies in my tummy and I wish Finn would get it together and/or realize he’s being played by Quinn. I sat down to watch that, and somehow now...

Soap Knuckles. →
Like brass knuckles. Except they’re soap. I’m not kidding.
Tornadoes redux.
See, I write about them, and how we never have them, and now out of nowhere there’s a tornado watch (or maybe warning) going on. Jay tells me that I’m silly for thinking that things can be jinxed, but they can. They so can. …I am not happy about this.

Neighbors.
I wish we lived in the basement. Our floors wouldn’t squeak, because they’d be concrete or stone or dirt or whatever is under the floors in the basement, rather than the squeaky, sqawky wood that’s underneath our dirty carpet up here. And I could exercise and not have to worry about bothering the people below us. Also, we’d be on the same level as the laundry room, and...

Invitations.
I’m pretty sure, after ten or so vastly different designs, that I have settled on a) a design and b) a color scheme. I am thoroughly excited, not least because we’ve already bought the cards and envelopes. On clearance. At Target. Hundreds of dollars for invitations, what? I mean, I know most people are not graphic designers (or even wannabe graphic designers, as I fall firmly in the...

Michigan, part deux.
Jay and I decided that we’re going to honeymoon on Mackinac. I asked him where he wanted to go, without giving him any hint as to what I wanted, and he said “I don’t know… Mackinac?” And I asked him if he thought it was weird and/or lame that we’d go back to the one place we’ve ever been - didn’t he want to try someplace new? - and he said no, that...

Michigan.
Jay and I went to New Buffalo this evening, for no other reason than we both had today off and had done nothing so far. It was about an hour and a half drive, although it isn’t actually that far away - we went maybe half an hour further into Michigan past New Buffalo before turning around and going back. It’s a lovely place - condos right on the water, lots of boats, cute little shops...

Tornadoes.
My town tests the tornado alarms every Saturday at noon. Honestly, I don’t know why. Do they think they’re going to stop working if they aren’t tested every week? We haven’t even had to use them for real but maybe twice in the past ten years or so. Unless I’m just blocking it out. I hate tornadoes. I think it’s an alarm clock, personally. Which is pretty rude.

Finishing what I start.
Apparently I’m incapable of it. I decided to categorize my pictures on my laptop for easier access - whose? I don’t know; mine, I guess, since I’m the only one who looks at them - and gave up less than a third of the way through. Partly because my categories - nature, craft, food, and animals - kept overlapping. Seagulls at the beach? Well, there’s animals, but...

I think
…that this is more conducive to my style of blogging, i.e. not saying a lot. We booked a hall for the wedding. Well, not a hall. It’s a building in a park. So now we have a place. And a date. I want to write about it on Facebook, but I’m not inviting 96% of the people I’m friends with on Facebook. I was really excited, but then I got really sick and now I’m not too...
